12 Inch MacBook on the Way?

Online reports are claiming that Apple has begun working on a 12 inch version of the MacBook Air. Photographs and details about components being used to produce the device were leaked on the Chinese blog iFanR and the French site Nowhereelse. The photographs depict the display and casing of a machine that appears to be significantly smaller than the current 13 inch MacBook Air.

The images also show a polished Apple logo that resembles the emblem seen on iPads rather than on previous MacBooks. Rumors about a remarkably different MacBook Air circulated online earlier this month. It’s thought that Apple have decided to remove all connector parts apart from a single USB Type-C input. Reports suggest that Apple will be launching the new MacBook air in the next couple of months.

The first MacBook Air machines appeared in 2008, with the computers being designed to offer high-performance and portability. The computers are renowned for their light thin structures, with all post-2014 machines using solid-state drives. The MacBook Air is now seen as Apple’s entry-level laptop after the white MacBook was discontinued in 2011. It is now the tech giant’s best-selling Macintosh computer.
