Microsoft has been gradually rolling out Backward Compatibility for the Xbox One, and that process continued today with another 16 Xbox 360 games announced as playable on the latest console.
On the official Xbox website, Microsoft has published the full list of Xbox 360 titles that have just become backward compatible with Xbox One. They range from such established franchise follow-ups as Halo: Reach, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Fable III, Kane & Lynch 2 and Ms. Pac-Man, to quirkier titles including Doritos Crash Course, Spelunky and Zuma’s Revenge!
Braid, Hydro Thunder, Iron Brigade, Motocross Madness, Peggle, Portal: Still Alive, Splosion Man and Ticket to Ride make up the rest of the list. Microsoft appears to be reliant on its negotiations with publishers in securing further titles for Xbox One Backward Compatibility, but the company has pledged that it will continue regularly adding to the current catalog.
It was in November that Microsoft first launched this catalog, in the process fulfilling – at least to a degree – one of the most commonly asked-for features among Xbox One gamers. Over a hundred Xbox 360 titles, including Halo: Spartan Assault and Perfect Dark Zero, were in this initial release.
