Apple’s 2019 iPhones will feature a centered Apple logo on the rear for wireless charging.

According to reliable Apple insider Mark Gurman, who writes for Bloomberg, Apple will use a centered logo on the rear of all three new iPhones so users know where they can bilaterally charge their other devices, including AirPods and Apple Watches.

All three new iPhones – the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11R – are expected to feature a Qi-based device-to-device charging feature which would allow users to charge other Qi-enabled devices, including AirPods, Apple Watches and perhaps other iPhones.

The feature is similar to Wireless PowerShare on Samsung’s latest Galaxy smartphones.

Earlier in the year, another report suggested that Apple would drop the ‘iPhone’ branding from the rear of its iPhone 11 models, and this now seems more likely in relation to the new centered Apple logo rumor, simplifying the rear of the phone to make charging easier for new users.

Ben Geskin took to Twitter to share his vision for the new iPhones in a new mockup, as you can see at the top of this article, offering the clearest look yet of the rear of the 2019 iPhone.

Set to be announced tomorrow, the three new iPhones are expected to feature shatter-resistant glass as well as improved water resistance, making the phones better in water settings.

What’s more, the new iPhone XR successor will be available in green and lavender color options, and Apple Watch is expected to feature new casing finishes.
