Typically, Apple makes its first major product announcements of the year in March or April, so it seems very likely that this trend will continue into 2022. It is anticipated that Apple will throw the covers off quite a number of new products this year ā so what are just three that have been mooted for a spring unveiling?
Taiwanese research company TrendForce has said that it expects Apple to release the third generation of the iPhone SE in 2022ās first quarter. It is thought that if this device does emerge then, it could sport a similar design to the current model with a 4.7-inch display, as well as 5G support.
Rumors are also circulating about Apple releasing a new 27-inch iMac with a mini-LED display in the first half of 2022. It is likely that we would see this announced in March or April, if that is the case. The new iMac is rumored to support ProMotion and could supposedly have a design comparable to the 24-inch iMac that launched in 2021.
Finally, the Cupertino firm is expected to release new high-end Mac mini configurations this year powered by the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips, and it would seem a logical move to announce these alongside the new 27-inch iMac. It looks like we will soon see higher-end models make the transition to Apple silicon, leaving the Mac Pro desktop tower as the only Intel-based Mac on the market.
