The invitations for the most anticipated media event of the year have started landing in the inboxes and doorsteps of the lucky few. The Apple iPhone event will be held at 10:00am PST on Wednesday September 12 at the Steve Jobs Theater in the Apple Park Campus in Cupertino, California.
The invitation, pictured above, has a black background with a copper colored circle in the middle with the headline “Gather Round”.
Nobody knows for sure what is going to be officially unveiled until Apple CEO Tim Cook steps onto the stage but there is a consensus on what we expect to see and would be shocked if we didn’t hear about.

The new range of iPhones should be unveiled and are expected to introduce three modesl. A large 6.5 inch OLED device, a smaller 5.8 inch OLED screened phone and a more basic but larger sized LCD screen model. All are expected to have upgraded processors, full edge-to-edge displays, Face ID intergration and faster LTE.
As for pricing, the LCD model is expected to retail at about $700 and may have an aluminium frame and single-lens camera to keep costs down. The two OLED iPhones will have price tags from $800 to $1000 with dual-lens and stainless steel frames.
Apple is also expected to unveil the Apple Watch Series 4 which is said to have longer battery life, improved health monitoring capabilities and a larger display thanks to a reduced bezel size.
See you next Wednesday
There will most likely be a second launch event held in October which will unveil new iPads, Macs and Macbooks. Other rumoured new devices such as new iPad Pro models, new AirPods and the AirPower charging mat could be announced at either of these events.
If you aren’t one of the lucky few heading to Cupertino don’t worry, you can watch the whole event live on the Apple Website and on Apple TV but we will have a full review and write up here at Apple Magazine!
