Apple reportedly expecting ‘bumper sales’ for iPhone 14

Apple is reportedly expecting a bumper year for the iPhone, telling suppliers to prepare for an influx of orders and sales due to increased consumer demand.

The company has reportedly alerted suppliers that it wants to produce 95 million iPhone models when the new iPhone 14 is announced next month. That’s up from the 90 million estimation previously revealed by the Taiwan Economic Times.

It’s thought that the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro Max will become the dominant phone in the upcoming quarter, with Apple expecting to add a bunch of new features to the device such as an improved camera rig, a refreshed design with new pill cut out, and more.

In a perhaps unexpected announcement, Apple is reportedly told suppliers it thinks the upcoming iPhone 14 will sell more than last year’s iPhone 13, despite economic uncertainty around the world as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and Ukraine war.

Apple is widely expected to announce the new iPhone 14 range next month, and it will include a new iPhone 14 Max model. This will offer the same form factor as the iPhone 14 Pro Max, without the Pro features and price tag.
