A lot of us rush out to stores during this time of season, in a frantic dash to find a few gifts for the individuals we may have missed on our lists. Some of us end up luckily gazing upon the “ideal” gift for a friend or loved one, but for the majority of us, gift cards seem to be the easiest way out of a tough situation. iTunes gift cards seem to be the most popular gift amongst my circle of friends, since all of us use Apple products. But iTunes gift cards can be quite expensive, when you go adding them all up.
Something a lot of you may not know is that you can gift actual applications through iTunes, instead of just giving away gift cards. This normally ends up being way less expensive, and it gives your gift a little more personalization. It’s easy to give your friend or loved one a gift card, but when you give them an app, it shows that you took the time to discover their personal tastes.
You can even get better deals, specifically on games, if you keep an eye out for annual sales. In fact, there are a variety of games on sale right now for the holiday season from a mass of different developers. Activison, one of the world’s largest game developer and publisher is currently slashing prices on a small lot of its most popular iOS titles. Some of these games are so cheap, you could afford to grab a couple for each friend and still save yourself a lot of money. Of course, the holidays are as good a time as any to give yourself a little pick-me-up too. So don’t be shy about grabbing that Activison title you may have wanted a few months ago, but couldn’t afford.
