Airpods Could Be Further Away Than We Think

For those hoping to find a nice new pair of Airpods waiting for them underneath the Christmas tree this year should probably bring their expectations down. Apple are working hard to bring the Airpods out sooner, but want to work on them a little longer.

Originally slated to drop sometime in October, Airpods have been delayed for further development. According to CEO Tim Cook, “we don’t believe in shipping a product before it’s ready, and we need a little more time before AirPods are ready for customers”.

This isn’t for a good reason, though. Airpods could change the way we listen to our music forever with their unique technology and design. The headphones work with two signals as opposed to the one that other wireless headphones use, meaning that Apple wants to make sure that the music is coming through in-sync without compromising the high audio quality.

No clear release date has been announced as of yet, but no-one said charting a new path in wireless headphone technology would be quick or easy, so we must be patient.
