AirWatch Announces Same-Day Support for Mac OS X Mavericks

AirWatch(R), the largest Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) provider, announces same-day support for Mac OS X Mavericks, which was released today. With the update, Apple offers its most advanced desktop operating system with new features that enterprises can utilize with AirWatch.

AirWatch’s EMM platform enables companies to manage dedicated, shared, and employee- and student-owned (BYOD) laptops and desktops running Mac OS X Mavericks. AirWatch allows organizations to deliver enterprise settings, restrictions and additional security measures to ensure compliance with corporate policies.

Organizations leverage AirWatch to track device assets, distribute applications and execute commands remotely to lock, wipe, enterprise wipe and send device queries and messages. AirWatch enables organizations to standardize configuration across laptops for scalable distribution with profiles that include:

  • Passcode and policy settings
  • Full disk encryption
  • Email (POP, IMAP, SMTP) settings
  • Exchange Web Services settings and Outlook profiles
  • Wi-Fi and VPN configurations with per App VPN profiles
  • Certificates and simple certificate enrollment protocol (SCEP)
  • LDAP, calendaring extensions to WebDAV (CalDAV) and contact extensions to WebDAV (CardDAV)
  • Custom profiles and Web Clips

    AirWatch supports Mac OS versions 10.7 (Lion) and later, and devices running on those operating systems, including MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, iMac and Mac Pro.
