Apple’s upcoming iPhone 14 range will feature 6GB of RAM as standard.
The company is expected to release four smartphones this year – a standard iPhone 14, an iPhone 14 Pro, an iPhone 14 Pro Max and a new iPhone 14 Max, featuring the same larger screen as the Pro Max without the Pro features, like improved battery life and a battery camera set-up.
As we get closer to the release of the smartphones, it’s now been revealed that Apple will include 6GB of RAM as standard,d but the new Pro versions will utilize faster memory technology to differentiate them from the standard smartphones. It had previously been reported that the pro models would get 8GB RAM, but it now appears that Apple has unified the RAM across all four models to reduce costs.
The standard iPhone 14 and 14 Max model will use LPDDR4X, while the 14 Pro models will use LPDDR5. Right now, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini have 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM whilst the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max have 6GB, so it’s a significant upgrade for the standard iPhone and iPhone Max.
