A “well-connected” KGI analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, has told investors that he expects Apple’s iMac sales to reach a million units in the upcoming third quarter of 2015. This figure is apparently influenced by the forecast effect of new, faster iMac models that Kuo has added will be launching soon.
The analyst made his comments in a note that was intended for investors and obtained by AppleInsider. Kuo opines that, quarter-over-quarter, iMac sales will double, spurred on by new models that come with speedier processors and “much better” displays. He also said that these models’ use of, as AppleInsider phrases it, “a new LED phosphor material called KSF” will improve their color saturation.
These new iMacs should help Apple to build on its already impressive performance in the personal computer market. We recently reported how, according to IDC figures, Apple was the only company to increase its PC sales as the overall global PC market shrunk in this year’s second quarter.
