Apple has announced the next-generation macOS, with new features coming to the Mac later this year.
Perhaps one of the most interesting features is the launch of extensions coming to iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, and a stunning redesign of the Safari web browser that puts the content at the forefront of the user interface.
Universal Control allows users to control their iPad right next to their Mac, ideal for multitasking, whilst it’s now possible to create Siri Shortcuts on the Mac. Other new features include game highlights, the ability to group together tabs in Safari, and a new Launchpad for games on macOS and Apple Arcade – perfect for families.
Memoji will now serve as the default icon on login, and it’s possible to AirPlay to the Mac for the first time.
Spatial Audio will soon be supported for Mac users with AirPods Pro, and a new Low Power Mode helps users get more from their devices.
