Apple Announces WWDC Date

Apple has announced that the 2015 Worldwide Developers Conference will take place from June 8-12. The company’s developer community will unite in San Francisco to find out more about future plans for iOS and OS X. The conference features over 100 technical sessions, more than 1,000 Apple engineers hands-on labs and the Apple Design Awards.

The sessions will be streamed live, and developers can now apply for tickets to attend. WWDC Scholarships are being offered to students as well as members of participating STEM organizations across the globe. It is rumored that new hardware for the Mac, iPad and iPhone will be unveiled alongside new versions of Apple’s operating systems.

The high-profile event has traditionally been used to launch an array of new Apple developments. WWDC 2014 saw Apple recapture the attention of the world after a relatively quiet start to the year. The event will take place at Moscone West in San Francisco. Although the event has largely been associated with software in the past, it has also been used to launch the second, third and fourth iPhone models, as well as a refreshed Mac Pro and a number of MacBooks.

Rumors that iOS 9 is already being tested are circulating worldwide.
