Apple Arcade will be priced at $4.99 per month and users will be able to take on a one-month free trial before they commit to a subscription, according to new discoveries from 9to5Mac.

As we previously reported, Apple employees are currently beta testing the new gaming platform for $0.49 per month, ahead of a general release expected next month alongside iOS 13.

Apple Arcade is Apple’s new gaming subscription service, offering cross-platform gaming on the Mac, iOS, and Apple TV.

Apple has already announced a number of titles for the new service, although the latest leaked screenshots show off some new titles that have yet to be revealed publicly including War of the Turtle, when users can play as turtles lost on an island in the middle of nowhere and collect shells to defeat enemies, as well as Down in Bermuda where an adventurous aviator voyages across the Atlantic on a journey of a lifetime, leaving his family at home.

According to 9to5Mac, new information discovered in the Mac App Store APIs has revealed that Apple Arcade will be available for just $4.99 per month, and a one-month free trial will be offered.

Apple has already revealed that the monthly subscription price will allow access for up to six members of the family, so that means $4.99 will cover six users’ gaming experiences.

When speaking of the new service earlier this year, Apple said that it was planning to host around 100 games at launch, all without ads on in-app purchases.

A $4.99 price tag will no doubt sweeten the deal and create high demand for a new service.

Of course, nothing is set in stone and Apple could change its mind on pricing before launch, but $4.99 seems like a reasonable price and helps to justify subscribing to many of Apple’s new services.
