Apple begins selling refurbished 24-inch iMac

Apple has begun selling refurbished versions of its new 24-inch iMac just months after it went on sale.

The company released the new machine, powered with an M1 chip, earlier in the year, and now refurbished options are appearing on the Apple Store in the UK. Right now, users can get their hands on pink and green iMacs, saving around £220 off the retail price.

The base model features Apple’s new M1 chip as well as an 8-core CPU and 7-core GPU with 8GB of RAM, 256GB of SSD, and two thunderbolt ports. Apple’s refurbished store is different from third parties in that each machine goes through a refurbishment process before it’s sold, including the removal of the entire exterior chassis, replaced with new parts to ensure a like-new finish for consumers.

All refurbished products are covered by a one-year limited warranty, as well as a 14-day returns guarantee.

It’s also possible to buy the refurbished iMac with AppleCare, though you can’t opt for engraving or have the product gift wrapped.

Apple released the new iMac earlier in the year to much fanfare, overhauling its design and introducing a stunning new 24-inch display, as well as new color options, the M1 chip, an improved FaceTime cameras, as a mouse and keyboard that matches the iMac colors.
