Apple has begun shipping Apple Watch Series 7 units to customers ahead of its Friday release.

Those who managed to secure a launch day delivery have noticed that their orders have switched to Preparing to Ship, and now some have received an email confirmation from delivery companies that their orders are on their way to them, three days before the release date.

Apple has introduced a number of new features to this year’s Apple Watch Series 7, including larger displays and case sizings, as well as the introduction of the S7 chip, improved durability over its predecessor, as well as faster charging enabled by a new USB-C charging cable. What’s more, the Apple Watch Series 7 is available in new color options and specs.

Apple delayed the release of this year’s Apple Watch Series 7, despite announcing it last month at its September California Streaming event. The Apple Watch Series 7 has reportedly suffered a number of production delays due to changes to its screen, but these are reported to now be ironed out, and with its release date imminent, Apple’s hoping consumers will be ready to buy.
