Apple begins shipping iPhone 13 units ahead of Friday release

Apple has begun shipping iPhone 13 units to consumers ahead of a Friday release.

The Cupertino company might have let some iPhone 13 units out of the factory before the release date, but then chances are that you won’t get your hands on it until September 24.

That’s because Apple works with carriers to hold back the actual release of the iPhone until the allocated release date, allowing consumers to have them on Friday.

If you’ve purchased a new iPhone 13, you might see that it’s labelled as ‘Preparing to Ship’ on the Apple website, but that you’ve also received an email from UPS confirming that your item has shipped, allowing you to track its status and estimated arrival date.

If you haven’t received an email, consider using the UPS My Choice platform to track the reference number of your iPhone 13. You can then see exactly where your iPhone 13 is, and hopefully, you can expect to receive it on release day this Friday, September 24.

Apple announced the iPhone 13 last week, with the handset offering a refreshed take on the popular iPhone 12. As well as improved 5G connectivity, the new model comes with improved cameras, more storage on the entry-level model, and new designs and colors.

Are you looking forward to the iPhone 13? Let us know and check back soon for the latest.
