Apple begins shipping new 10.2-inch iPad

Hot off the heels of the iPadOS release yesterday evening, Apple has confirmed it will begin shipping the new version of the world’s most popular iPad, now in 10.2-inches, from today.

The seventh-generation model will begin shipping to customers who pre-ordered the device this week, and it will appear in retail stores across the world before the weekend.

Available for just $329, the new iPad introduces a new form factor (10.2 inches) and indeed support for the full-sized Smart Keyboard, as well as a new iPad experience with iPadOS, which takes the best parts of iOS and takes them to a whole new level just for iPad devices.

The iPad also supports Apple Pencil for the first time and comes packed with an A10 Fusion chip, new cameras and sensors, unmatched portability and great all-day battery life, perfect for everyday users and indeed professional looking for a light and affordable device.

The most affordable iPad in history now joins the refreshed iPad mini, iPad Air and the most advanced iPad Pro models, which creates perhaps the most exciting iPad lineup to date.

All of Apple’s iPad range supports the Apple Pencil, with a wide choice for consumers on a budget and those looking for something a little more powerful, and something in between.

Students and schools can save even more on the new iPad, with pricing starting at just $299 and a discounted Apple Pencil on sale for $89.

Polyurethane Smart Covers are also now available for the iPad for just $39 in the United States in charcoal gray, white, pink sand and a new Alaskan blue color options.

What’s more, consumers who purchase their iPads online can enjoy free engraving.
