Brand loyalty towards Apple has hit an all-time high, according to a survey from SellCell.
Their data reveals that 91.9% of iPhone owners plan to purchase another iPhone when they next upgrade their device, up 1.4% from data in 2019.
Samsung, on the other hand, has seen its brand loyalty plunge, with just 74% of Samsung smartphone owners planning to replace their current Samsung smartphone with another Samsung model when the time comes. That’s down from 85.7% in 2019, representing a significant drop in brand loyalty.
Consumers reasons for choosing an iPhone, and wanting another iPhone, were as follows:
- 65% have never had an issue with their device
- 21% said they were locked into the iOS ecosystem
- 10% said switching back to Android would be too much hassle
Those who considered moving away from iPhone, the responses were as follows:
- 38% thought other brands had better technology
- 26.4% preferred the design of another brand’s smartphones
Amongst those who said they’d switch, half said they’d move to Samsung, and a third to Google Pixel.
