Stephen Hawking died on Wednesday age 76, and Apple CEO Tim Cook has commemorated the theoretical physicist’s life. Tim Cook took to Twitter to pay tribute:
Tim Cook states “We will always be inspired by his life and ideas”, speaking on behalf of so many who feel the same. Hawking clearly made an impact on Apple and in later years he used Swiftkey software, an iOS app, to aid his speaking.
Hawking was given just given years to live when he was diagnosed with motor neurone diseased aged 21. The world-famous scientist was the author of the best selling book, A Brief History of Time, among other works. A Brief History of Time sold over 10 million copies.
He died at home in Cambridge, early Wednesday morning and tributes are being paid all over the world.
