Apple has confirmed that the iMac Pro will be discontinued.
The company added the short-lived device to its āWhile Stocks Lastā section of its website and removed the option of upgrading the device, meaning itās now only possible to choose the standard configuration.
The company has since confirmed that, once supplies run out, the iMac Pro will no longer be available for sale, marking the end of an era.
The iMac Pro was first introduced in December 2017 and hasnāt received any substantial updates since.
Confirming the news, Apple said that the 27-inch iMac introduced last year was the preferred choice for most professionals, and added that the Mac Pro is also a wise upgrade choice.
Appleās latest iMac features a 5K display and up to a 10-core 10th-generation Intel Core i9 processor, as well as the option of adding up to 128GB of RAM and 8TB of storage.
Whatās more, the company is expected to overhaul the iMac range this year with an all-new design and the introduction of Apple Silicon chips, so the standard Mac will become even more powerful.
