Apple will reportedly call this year’s smaller 5.4-inch iPhone the iPhone 12 Mini.

According to a report from anonymous Twitter leaker l0vetodream, Apple has confirmed the names of its new iPhone 12 devices internally. He suggests that Apple will stick to the traditional formats – the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max – but introduce a new lower-cost iPhone 12 Mini, which will be the smallest of the new iPhones and a new addition to the family, designed to appease consumers who prefer smaller screen sizes.

Apple will announce its four new iPhones at a special event next month, and with l0vetodream’s proven track record, it now seems all-but-confirmed that Apple will be introducing the new lower-cost iPhone to increase sales. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple’s new 5.4-inch screen model will feature a smaller notch, and be the cheapest new iPhone 12.

Kuo also says that, because the 5.8-inch iPhone 11 Pro is currently the smallest of Apple’s flagship smartphones, the new iPhone 12 Mini will feel smaller still when it’s launched.

Apple will also release a standard iPhone 12 with a 6.1-inch display and OLED display, as well as the two high-end Pro and Pro max models, which will come with a 6.-1inch display and 6.7-inch display, the largest iPhone Apple has ever released.

All of the new devices will come packaged with Apple’s A14 chip, support 5G technology, and feature an attractive new design, inspired by the iPad Pro and iPad Air. However, for the first time, none of the iPhones will come with earbuds or a charger to prevent waste.

Analysts expect Apple to announce its September event in the days and weeks ahead. Stay tuned to AppleMagazine for the latest news and rumors, as soon as we get them.
