Apple has announced a new limited edition version of its AirPods Pro earphones, inspired by the Ox, to celebrate Chinese New Year. The new product goes on sale exclusively in China today (January 7).

The AirPods Pro feature an attractive Ox design, inspired by the Year of the Ox. The design is similar to Apple’s own free engraving service for AirPods, which allows users to add initials or an emoji to their AirPods case, but it features an exclusive Ox design that cannot be found elsewhere, which will prove attractive to Chinese users.

The new AirPods are on sale for the same price as the standard AirPods Pro at RMB 1,999 and are the same as the usual device except they feature an Ox engraving and a box with an Ox on it.

Apple has also released a Chinese New Year gift guide, helping consumers find the right gifts for their loved ones as they ring in the New Year on Friday, 12 February. The guide includes the iPhone 12, as well as the Apple Watch, new M1 Macs, iPads, and MagSafe accessories and chargers.
