Apple Fit: Apple launching fitness subscription service this October The service will offer new ways to work out from home.

A woman and a child are practicing yoga on a wooden floor in a bright room. The woman stretches while sitting on one knee, looking at the child, who lies on a blanket, also stretching. A yoga mat and a small table and chairs are visible in the background. They’re enjoying their new Apple Fit fitness subscription launched in October.

Not content with the success of Apple TV+, Arcade, News+, and Music, Apple plans to add another subscription to its bow this October, in the form of a virtual fitness service.

It has been widely reported that Apple will bundle its existing services into one monthly plan this year, now Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says that a new fitness offering will come alongside it to make the offering more compelling.

Called Apple One, the new package will offer music, television, games, news, and fitness under one monthly $30 subscription.

Apple Fit (not the final name) will offer subscribers access to virtual fitness classes via iPhone and Apple TV, rivalling existing services offered by brands such as Nike.

Earlier in the year, developers discovered hidden code within an iOS 14 leak that showed off fitness-related icons and infrastructure. Today, Gurman has confirmed that the codenamed Seymour program is indeed a new fitness product from Apple, likely called Fit or Fitness.

The new service will offer a whole host of fitness activities, including running, cycling, stretching, training, walking, dance, yoga, and rowing. Users will be able to download guided workouts, and Apple Watch will integrate to properly monitor users’ workout performance.
