Apple Fitness+ Expands with Over 4,000 Workout and Meditation Options A recent exclusive tour of the Apple Fitness+ studio in Santa Monica, California, has revealed the broad array of workouts and meditation videos now available on the platform. Apple’s subscription-based workout service continues to evolve, offering an immersive and personalized fitness experience to its users.

During the tour, Jacob Krol of Men’s Journal had an opportunity to gain insights from Jay Blahnik, Apple’s VP of Fitness Technologies, and interact with numerous trainers who contribute to the workout content.

Last year’s first Fitness+ studio tours introduced us to the space, and this new visit provides further detail. According to Krol, the studio, consisting of a spacious room with various workout and meditation zones, is well-equipped and technologically advanced. A combination of 13 robotic and several human-operated cameras record videos under an extensive lighting grid. A proficient crew oversees live productions from a control room, ensuring the quality of each recording.

Currently, Fitness+ boasts more than 4,000 workout and meditation videos, with new ones added every week. These diverse videos range from five to 45 minutes, covering a dozen different workout styles, including recent additions such as Pilates and kickboxing.

Blahnik emphasized Apple’s ongoing commitment to the success of users’ fitness journeys, whether Fitness+ serves as a supplement to other activities or as the primary resource for physical activity and meditation. To put it in Blahnik’s words, the team at Apple ask themselves what they can do “to make [users’] experience even easier, smoother, something they can fit into their life more regularly.”

Available since 2020 on the Fitness app on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV, Fitness+ provides a rich interactive experience. While users can access the service with just an iPhone, an Apple Watch is needed to display real-time personal metrics like heart rate and calories burned during workouts.

A Fitness+ subscription costs $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year in the U.S., with an option to bundle it with other Apple services via Apple One for $32.95 per month.

A single Fitness+ subscription can be shared among six family members, offering a free one-month trial for all users. Customers purchasing a new iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, or Apple TV are eligible for a three-month trial.
