Apple Hands Apple Music Subscriptions to Employees Globally

It’s the season to be generous, and Apple has certainly got into the spirit, having revealed its plan to hand each of its employees around the world a nine-month subscription to Apple Music.

MacRumors reports that this news was broken by Eddy Cue, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services, in a video message sent to employees this morning. Later this month, each worker will receive a promo code enabling them to activate their subscription, which would otherwise have set them back about $90.

Not a single Apple employee – from the main base in Cupertino, to satellite offices, to Apple Stores in various countries – will be overlooked for this holiday gift. This offering is especially well-timed, fast following news that Apple Music has clinched a major concert video exclusive from Taylor Swift.
