Apple Highlights Apps Supporting MacBook Pro’s Touch Bar

As the earliest buyers of the new, Touch Bar-equipped MacBook Pro will be getting their hands on it this week, it’s convenient that Apple is now highlighting Touch Bar-supporting apps in the Mac App Store.

A new, featured section, titled ‘Our Top Picks for MacBook Pro’ and pointed out by MacRumors, lists several apps that provide contextual functions on the dynamic OLED touch panel. Some of these apps, including Final Cut Pro and djay Pro, were featured at the new MacBook Pro’s launch event in late October.

Other apps in the list, meanwhile, include 1Password, Day One, Focus, Mail Designer Pro 3, OmniGraffle 7 and PocketCAS. We expect that, as was the case with 3D Touch following its introduction to iPhones last year, much more software will be updated with support for Touch Bar as the weeks and months pass.
