Apple introduces iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro range

Apple has introduced the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro range at this year’s September Event.

Though the transition from the iPhone 7 to the iPhone X was perhaps more dramatic than the transition from the iPhone X to the iPhone 14, there’s no denying that Apple has perfected the modern smartphone. This year, it’s further elevating the user experience, introducing four smartphones – the standard iPhone 14, an all-new iPhone 14 Plus for those looking for more screen real estate, and the stunning new iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max.

“Our customers count on their iPhone every day, and with iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, we’re delivering more advancements than any other iPhone. iPhone 14 Pro introduces a camera system that empowers every user — from casual to professional — to take their best photos and video, and innovative new technologies like the Always-On display and the Dynamic Island, which offer new interactions for notifications and activities,” Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, said.

“Groundbreaking safety capabilities bring users even more security, offering help when they need it most. And with the mighty and efficient A16 Bionic chip and all-day battery life, this is the best iPhone yet.” Granted, every year is the “best iPhone yet.” Still, this one certainly feels different, introducing long-awaited and unexpected changes that will no doubt see iPhone Pro and Max sales increase faster than the standard range.

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are manufactured from surgical-grade stainless steel and textured matte glass, featuring a Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion and an Always-On display for the first time, allowing users to access their Lock Screen at all times. It also features Dynamic Island, offering users new ways to interact with iPhone, something Apple says blends the line between hardware and software”.

Other changes with this year’s Pro and Pro Max models include an incredible 48-megapixel camera and safety features like Crash Detection on iPhone, detecting a severe car crash and automatically dialing emergency services when a user is unconscious or unable to reach their iPhone, and Emergency SOS via satellite. This long-rumored feature allows antennas to connect directly to a satellite.

The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus feature the same new features as the Pro and Pro Max models, like Crash Detection, a smartphone industry-first safety service with Emergency SOS via satellite, and the best battery life on iPhone as a stunning new dual-camera system. Combined with iOS 16, released on September 12, it’s the most exciting time to be an iPhone user. With models starting from $799 to the Pro Max’s $1,099 starting price, there’s an iPhone for every budget and requirement.
