Apple introduces stunning new wallpapers

Apple has seeded macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 to developers ahead of the General Master release next month, and it appears as though there are a bunch of new wallpapers for the occasion.

The company typically releases the latest macOS update in September or October, but it’s all but confirmed that Apple is holding off releasing this year’s package until it’s premiered the first Apple Silicon Mac at a special event next month. We don’t know which Mac will be given the Silicon treatment first, but it’s likely to be a MacBook rather than iMac or Mac mini.

Ahead of the release, Apple has begun seeding a beta of macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 to developers, and it includes some stunning new wallpapers – 40 in total over the previous release. We’ve put together our favorites for you to download below. Right click and save to download for macOS, or long press if you want to use these wallpapers on your iOS device.

Let us know if you use any of these and check back soon for more macOS news.
