Apple Launch Watch and New MacBook at Spring Forward

Apple has launched a number of new products at its Spring Forward event. As well as the long-awaited Apple Watch and new MacBook, the company said that new HBO streaming service HBO Now will hit Apple TV in April. The Apple TV box is to sell for $69, a $30 drop from its price before the event. It will be the only device that can access HBO Now for a limited time.

The company also said that 700 million iPhones have been sold to date, reporting 49% growth for its smartphones and a 99% customer satisfaction rate for its most recent devices, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

The new MacBook will be Apple’s lightest notebook. It will feature just one “USB-C” port and a 67% smaller logic board. The device will come with a 12” retina display and only weighs two pounds. New models of the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air have also been refreshed, coming with longer battery life and faster processors.

Thousands of apps have been developed for the Apple Watch including downloads from Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Prices are to range from $350-£10,000, with three ranges on offer. Apple Watch Sport, Apple Watch and Apple Watch Edition will go on sale on 24th April. iOS 8.2.was also launched to mark Spring Forward and offers support for all Apple Watch models as well as the iPhone 5 and above.
