Apple Music Classical App Set to Debut on March 28 with Pre-Orders Open Now

Apple Music Classical

Apple Music subscribers will soon have access to a new classical music app called “Apple Music Classical”. The app will be available for download on March 28, 2023, and is currently available for pre-order on the App Store. The app is included as part of an Apple Music or Apple One subscription.

According to TechCrunch, Apple Music Classical will offer subscribers access to over five million classical music tracks, including new high-quality releases, and hundreds of curated playlists. The app will also provide thousands of exclusive albums, composer bios, and deep dives on key works. The app’s interface is designed to offer a simpler experience for interacting with classical music specifically, allowing users to search by composer, work, conductor, catalog number, and more.

In addition, Apple Music Classical will feature digital portraits of famous composers, such as Ludwig van Beethoven, Frédéric Chopin, and Johann Sebastian Bach. These portraits will use color palettes and artistic references from the relevant classical period, providing a unique visual experience for users. Apple has collaborated with classical music artists and institutions to offer exclusive content and recordings.

The app will initially only be available on iOS devices running iOS 15.4 or newer, but an Android version is expected to be released soon. Apple has created a Twitter account, @appleclassical, for users to stay updated on the latest news and updates about the app.

This new app comes after Apple’s acquisition of the classical music streaming service Primephonic in 2021. By incorporating Primephonic into Apple Music, Apple aims to offer its subscribers a dedicated platform for classical music with a user-friendly interface, exclusive content, and high-quality recordings.

Overall, Apple Music Classical is an exciting development for classical music enthusiasts who have long been waiting for a dedicated platform for their favorite genre. With its vast library of tracks and exclusive content, the app promises to provide a unique and engaging experience for users.
