Apple could be set to announce that its Music streaming service will come to games consoles.
As first reported by The Verge, Apple has updated its Apple Music website to reflect its new Voice Plan, announced at the Unleashed event, and now the company has teased the release of Apple Music on games consoles. It had previously been reported that the Apple Music logo could be found on the PlayStation five, and now Apple explicitly lists that consumers can listen to music on games consoles in some scenarios.
As well as listing Apple devices, streaming services, and smart TVs, the web page now says that the streamer can be accessed on “gaming consoles”, though we’re yet to see an official app on any of the major platforms.

Apple has since updated its website to remove the references to games consoles, which could mean that the company prematurely announced the release. Though Apple has yet to specify which consoles could be given the Apple Music treatment in the future, it’s thought that it’ll come to the PlayStation 5 and perhaps PlayStation 4. It had also been suggested that Apple would bring Apple Music to the Xbox One and Xbox Series, so perhaps a cross-platform rollout will arrive in the coming weeks or months in the build-up to the holiday season.
