In a Tweet on Wednesday Apple announced they were the digital music partner of the 2018 BRIT Awards, the 30th annual awards ceremony featuring the hottest artists. The tech giant created special ads, interviews, banners and even Apple Music playlists all dedicated to the event. Apple was the event’s official streaming and download partner in 2017, but this is the first time they have been digital music partner.
The Apple Music Twitter account kept followers up to date throughout the night, announcing Stormzy won Best British Male Artist, Dua Lipa won British Female Solo Artists, and more. When the Brit Awards official account also tweeted the winners, they linked to their digital music partner’s playlists.
You can find these playlists along with other highlights from the night, including music from the nominees and winners, in a dedicated section in iTunes. For specific links, head to the Apple Music Twitter account and scroll through their timeline to see Tweets from the night. Don’t miss the exclusive live performance from Rag’n’Bone Man that features in the Apple Music app!
Apple also played a number of commercials during the ad breaks. One very exciting advert was the Animoji karaoke advert ‘Panda’. Apple is continuing to push their Animoji to new levels and rumors suggest Apple will be integrating Animonji into FaceTime video calls when iOS 12 is released.
