Tesla is readying the release of a software update that would introduce support for Apple Music and Amazon Music for the first time, making it easier to stream your favorite songs.
Unlike most car manufacturers, which have adopted Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to allow for a streamlined media playback experience, Tesla holds a tight grip over its ecosystem, meaning that the number of streaming services supported has been limited.
Now, it appears as though the company is ready to loosen the reins on its operating system and will add support for multiple new music streaming services inside of its vehicles for the first time, having previously added Spotify, Netflix, and YouTube back in November 2019.
The company’s CEO, Elon Musk, confirmed earlier in the year that the electric vehicle firm would add support for TIDAL, and now Tesla users have spotted Apple Music and Amazon Music support when trying to link other streaming services inside of their vehicles.
As first posted by Green The Only on Twitter, both services have been found in of Tesla’s code.

The leak suggests that Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Audible support is coming soon.
Right now, it’s possible to stream music via Apple Music over Bluetooth, but this will offer a more streamlined service and allow users to play their favorite tracks wherever they are.
Of course, we don’t know for certain when the integration will officially roll out, but the fact it’s now in beta testing for some users suggests that its release is imminent.
