Apple has been officially notifying the winners of the WWDC 2024 Swift Student Challenge, recognizing 350 individuals with the opportunity to attend a special event at Apple Park on June 10. Among these winners, 50 stand out as Distinguished Winners and are invited to a three-day event at Apple Park, which includes attending the keynote address and two additional days filled with interactions with Apple engineers.

For those not selected as Distinguished Winners, there’s still a chance to attend the Apple Park keynote event through a lottery system due to the limited available space.

Apple is inviting both developers and students to apply for this lottery, with the selection process being random. The lucky participants will be notified by April 4.

Even if not selected to attend in person, Swift Student Challenge winners can keep up with Apple’s announcements via the Apple Developer website, the Apple Developer app, and YouTube.

Moreover, these winners will have the chance to apply for future WWDC events for the next two years.

Those who win the lottery for attending the event at Apple Park will need to arrange and fund their own travel and accommodation in Cupertino, California.

The Swift Student Challenge is an annual competition that encourages students to submit a creative coding project using Swift Playgrounds.

The submissions are evaluated based on technical achievement, creativity, and the quality of written explanations detailing the projects.

In addition to the chance of attending the WWDC 2024 special event, winners receive a one-year membership in the Apple Developer Program and exclusive WWDC merchandise.

This year, the winners are also being gifted AirPods Max headphones.

WWDC 2024 is scheduled to run from June 10 to June 14, promising a week full of innovation and learning.
