Apple is offering Apple Watch owners $100 to trade in their old models.
To celebrate Heart Month, Apple is offering better trade-in values for older Apple Watch Series 3 and Series 3 models when consumers choose to upgrade to the new Series 5.
The promotion means that consumers receive the same $100 trade-in credit for their old Apple Watches as they would if they traded in their recent Apple Watch Series 4 devices.
Apple announced the launch of the Heart Month Challenge on the Apple Watch last week, set to kick off soon.
“Put your heart into earning this award! Close your Exercise ring for seven days in a row starting February 8 and ending February 14,” the challenge reads.
Users who want to get involved in the challenge should consider upgrading to the latest Apple Watch to take advantage of features like improved speed and a larger, always-on display.
With the trade-in credit, users can pick up the basic aluminum GPS Series 5 Apple Watch model for just $299, the lowest it has ever been offered by Apple.
For those who want to opt for a more expensive model, like a 44mm model or a ceramic version, the $100 credit still applies, though the savings aren’t as dramatic when compared to $100 off of a $399 device.
This trade-in promotion is only available to celebrate Heart Month, and it’s expected that Apple will reduce the trade-in value of older Apple Watches once it’s over.
Be sure to take advantage if you’re thinking about making the upgrade, or hold off until September when the company will launch its new iPhones and Apple Watches at a Special September Event.
