Apple Offers Workshop for Developers on App Performance & Battery Life

Users experiencing iPhone 16 battery drain issues, with Apple working on solutions to improve battery performance.

Developers are receiving emails from Apple with an exclusive invitation to an all-day workshop designed to educate them on app optimization for performance and battery life.

The event, set to take place on September 27, 2023, will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time at the Apple Developer Center in Cupertino. The workshop is complimentary, and registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. The number of available spots for developers remains undisclosed.

Learn how to optimize your use of Apple frameworks, identify and resolve performance issues with tools like Instruments and Xcode Organizer, and get advice from Apple engineers on reducing launch time, hang rate, memory footprint, and more. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to test your apps and get hands-on support. Hosted at the Apple Developer Center in Cupertino.”

The workshop follows the anticipated unveiling of new iPhones on September 12 and the likely release of iOS 17 around September 20. The Apple Developer Center, which opened its doors in June 2022 ahead of the 2022 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), offers state-of-the-art facilities for interaction between Apple experts and developers. The venue boasts dedicated lab areas, work pods, and briefing centers. Additionally, it has a stage-equipped studio named Big Sur and meeting rooms named after previous macOS releases.

Although the Apple Developer Center is primarily active during the Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple has also extended limited invitations to developers for specialized sessions outside the annual event.
