Apple has announced its next Special Event, where it’s set to announce new iPhones and Apple Watches at a cross-virtual and in-person conference from Apple Campus.

The September 7 date has been rumored for a couple of weeks, and now the company has confirmed the upcoming event by sending out invitations to the world’s press and select tech influencers. The invitation reads: “Far Out.”

Apple says that the in-person component of the event will take place in Steve Jobs Theater, having made the transition after the pandemic. Fancy graphics and smooth transitions have made virtual events a new favorite in the Apple calendar, and some predicted that they wouldn’t return to traditional in-person events anymore. Still, following the announcements of new hardware, Apple will host several in-person Q&As and workshops for developers and the world’s media to try out new iPhones, Apple Watches, and perhaps some other new products that might be unveiled, too.

Apple is widely expected to announce the iPhone 14 range at its upcoming event, where the firm will ditch the ‘mini’ iPhone and replace it with a new iPhone 14 Max, offering the same form factor as the Pro Max without the Pro features. Apple is also expected to announce the Apple Watch Series 8 and an all-new Apple Watch Pro, sporting a more rugged design.
