Apple planning to release 15.5-inch MacBook Air next year

According to display analyst Ross Young, Apple is reportedly working on a new 15.5-inch MacBook Air which is expected to be released in spring 2023.

The current model has a 13.6-inch display, making the rumored 15.5-inch version the largest MacBook Air to date. It will sit between the 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro models in terms of size.

Young previously stated that the display would be around 15.2 inches, but has since updated his claim to 15.5 inches.

The new MacBook Air is expected to have a similar design to the 13-inch model released in 2022, with flat edges, a large Force Touch trackpad, and function keys on the keyboard.

It may also come with a MagSafe charging port, upgraded speaker system, and a 1080p camera. In terms of chips, the MacBook Air may offer M2 and M2 Pro options. However, it is not expected to feature the same mini-LED display or ProMotion technology found on the MacBook Pro models.
