Apple Possibly to Release Bright Pink Model of iPhone 5SE

Judging from a new report, when Apple debuts the iPhone 5SE next month, the new 4-inch handset could come in a peculiar choice of colors: silver, space gray and… bright pink?

The report, from Japanese site Mac Otakara and paraphrased in English by MacRumors, cites information from a third party vendor in claiming that Apple has indeed readied a vivid pink version. Mac Otakara likens the color to the pink in which the sixth generation iPod Touch, pictured above, is offered.

That pink is a brighter shade than the iPhone 6S color of rose gold, which has often been casually referred to as pink. And, apparently, the vendor has drawn a clear distinction between this “pink” and the more fluorescent pink that the iPhone 5SE will supposedly be available in.

Though the report also names silver and space gray as color options for the upcoming phone, to offer these alongside only pink would be unusual for Apple. It seems more likely that, if this report has credibility, Apple is preparing to launch the iPhone 5SE in the same array of colors as the current iPod Touch, Nano and Shuffle models, which also include gold, blue and red.
