Apple premieres Dickinson at St. Ann’s Warehouse in Brooklyn, New York

Apple has premiered one of its new Apple TV+ exclusives in New York City.

The company showed off Dickinson with a global premiere at St. Ann’s Warehouse in Brooklyn, New York ahead of the show’s public release on November 1, when Apple TV+ officially launches around the world.

The half-hour comedy series has been described as “audaciously exploring the constraints of society, gender and family from the perspective of rebellious young poet Emily Dickinson.”

The coming-of-age story was written and created by Alena Smith and is set in the 19th century, though protagonist Emily soon becomes an unexpected hero for our millennial generation.

Apple has confirmed that the complete season, including all ten of its episodes, will be available to stream from November 1, rather than episodically releasing content week by week as previously suggested.

Apple is describing Apple TV+ as the “first all-original video subscription service and home for today’s most imaginative storytellers.”

The service will launch in over 100 countries.

Users can get ready for the new service by downloading the Apple TV app on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch, Mac and other platforms, including online (tv.apple.com) – and those who purchase a new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac or iPod touch starting September 10 will receive a year of Apple TV+ for free.

For everyone else, it’s just $4.99 per month with a seven-day trial, and that subscription covers the whole family under one sharing plan.
