Apple Prepares to Launch “Back to School” Deals in Europe, Asia, & the Middle East Apple is set to launch its annual "Back to School" promotion across various regions, including the UK and selected European, Asian, and Middle Eastern countries. This comes amid reports of Apple's websites in these countries being offline, likely in preparation for the event.

The “Back to School” promotion is targeted towards higher education students and educators in eligible countries, offering an Apple gift card, AirPods, or an Apple Pencil with the purchase of specific Mac and iPad models.

In countries including the UK, France, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Poland, Ireland, Austria, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, and Denmark, eligible customers can receive gift cards. In the UK, gift cards valued at up to £130 are available with the purchase of an eligible device, and in other European countries, the value can reach up to €150.

Meanwhile, in Germany, Hungary, Czechia, Belgium, Turkey, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates, customers are offered AirPods or an Apple Pencil for free with a Mac or iPad purchase. Customers purchasing a 24-inch iMac, MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air can receive AirPods 3 with Lightning Case for free, while those who buy a Mac mini can get AirPods 2 for free. Customers also have the option to upgrade to higher-tier AirPods for an additional fee. iPad Pro or iPad Air purchasers will receive a free second-generation Apple Pencil.

The qualifying devices for these offers include the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac mini, iPad Pro, and iPad Air.

In addition to these deals, Apple continues to provide its standard educational discounts. Students are able to get lower prices on Macs and iPads through the EDU store in each country, including a 20 percent discount on AppleCare+.

The “Back to School” promotion requires verification through UNiDAYS in many participating countries, with full terms and conditions available on the promotional pages for Apple’s country-specific websites.

The Back to School deals are expected to go live once the EDU stores in each country are back online, and they will be available until October 23, 2023.
