Earth Day is this Saturday and Apple are promoting it with a new Apple Watch Activity Challenge. This challenge will encourage users to complete a 30 minute outdoor exercise after which they will unlock new stickers for iMessage and a special achievement award.

A statement from Apple said:

Get outside and celebrate Earth Day on April 22 and earn this award. Go for a walk, run, cycle, wheelchair or swim workout of 30 minutes or more in the Workout app or any third-party app that writes these workouts to Health. You will also earn special stickers for Messages.

Apple has previously promoted their Activity Challenges before with Thanksgiving in the U.S. and New Years Day throughout the world. A special Apple Event also took place at their Union Square Apple Store last night with Apple Environment VP Lisa Jackson and former Vice President Al Gore who discussed global environmental issues.
