Following the announcement of the new Pride Edition Watch band and watch face at 2018’s WWDC keynote, Apple has now revealed the new watches will initially be promoted in 13 select stores.
June marks Pride Month and Apple saw it fitting to celebrate with their new watch band and face. The band first became available on June 4 and following the keynote, Apple Watch owners could access the custom face. Now, in 13 stores worldwide, there is a dedicated Apple Watch display table showcasing the new Pride Band on a range of watch models.
Chosen stores include Apple’s Regent Street store in London, Union Square, Fifth Avenue, Orchard Road, Third Street Promenade, Michigan Avenue, and The Summit in Alabama. A private event has been held at Birmingham’s Haven in Alabama, promoted using the hashtag #applepride.
The band is selling at $49 and this year it is themed around the accompanying watch face. The stripes in the band perfectly correspond with the stripes on the display. Apple first introduced a Pride Watch band in 2016 for anyone who took part in the 2016 Pride Parade.
