Apple will reportedly release its biggest iMac to date, according to a new rumour.

l0vetodream, who has previously leaked information about upcoming Apple products, said that the company was working on a “very big” iMac, bigger than any Apple’s released before.

Right now, Apple offers a 21.5-inch version and a 27-inch version of its all-in-one desktop.

The company also manufactures a 32-inch display for the Pro Display XDR, and so the company could consider releasing an iMac as large as that, though it would likely be more expensive than the current high-end 27-inch iMac. It had previously been reported that Apple would work on a new iMac with larger displays, without increasing the size of the machine, by reducing the size of the bezel that surrounds the screen.

Bloomberg has also hinted that Apple is working on an iMac with a redesigned display and that the company is looking at its Pro Display XDR for design inspiration. Should this be the case, it’d be the first time since 2014 that the iMac has received a new look.

We know for certain that the iMac will receive a refresh this year, following the discontinuation of a number of current models, as well as Apple’s plan to transition all of its devices over to new custom M1 chips.
