Many users have reported that their iPhones’ batteries have been draining quickly after the launch of iOS 15.4. While this is a frequently reported issue following iOS updates, Apple has broken its usual silence on the matter and provided some assurance.
Reports have claimed that even iPhone 13 Pro Max users have encountered significant battery drain problems, despite this smartphone’s larger battery capacity. For such affected users, the phone’s battery life without further charging is said to be barely half a day.
According to a reply to a user by the Apple Support Twitter account, however, “it’s normal for your apps and features to need to adjust up to 48 hours after an update”.
Thanks for reaching out! We'll be happy to help. It's normal for your apps and features to need to adjust up to 48 hours after an update.
Let's have you reach out to us in a DM if this is still an issue after that time so we can help you look into this further.

So, it turns out that if you have this problem, you probably just need to spend a bit more time charging your iPhone in the days immediately after the software has been updated.
Apple does recommend, though, that users who experience battery issues for more than 48 hours reach out to the company.
