The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max came with an internal design that facilitates easier back glass removal. This feature was first introduced in the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus models and has now been extended to this year’s Pro versions.

We anticipated that this design change would lead to a decrease in repair costs for users without AppleCare+ coverage, and this has now been verified. According to updated information on Apple’s U.S. website, the company will charge $169 and $199 to repair back glass on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, respectively. This is a notable reduction from the $499 and $549 charges for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models.

This reduced cost has also been corroborated by 9to5Mac. For those with AppleCare+ coverage, the back glass repair fee is a mere $29. Regarding battery replacement, Apple maintains a $99 fee across all iPhone 15 models, unchanged from the iPhone 14 series.

For more detailed information on repair fees for other types of damage, like the rear camera, consumers are advised to visit Apple’s official website.
