Apple has referenced an unreleased M1X MacBook Pro in its WWDC keynote YouTube video tags, suggesting that the Cupertino company initially planned to release it at the event.
Several rumors prior to the annual software conference suggested that Apple would lift the lid on its new MacBook Pro models, which are expected to be redesigned and feature M1 chips for improved performance. The company is widely rumored to launch a new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro in the coming months, but WWDC came and went without a release.
However, in the YouTube tags for Apple’s live stream WWDC event, users have spotted references to an “m1x MacBook Pro” for the first time, which could mean a release is just around the corner, or indeed that a WWDC release was planned and subsequently dropped.
Other tags included in the video were iOS, developers conference, iOS 15, and M1X, which is interesting to note. Remember that the company first released its M1 chip back in November with the Mac mini, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro, but now users are suggesting that an M1X variant could launch, supercharged for professional users on the MacBook Pro.
