Apple has officially released the iPhone 14 Plus around the world.

The company has been staggering the release of its new iPhone 14 range to meet demand and avoid bottlenecks, and today, the final smartphone in the new line-up has been announced. The iPhone 14 Plus is a new device for this year’s range, offering a 6.7-inch display with the same features and functionality as the entry-level model, rather than the Pro Max.

Speaking of the launch, Kaiann Drance, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide iPhone Product Marketing, said: “iPhone 14 Plus brings the larger 6.7-inch display and the best battery life ever on an iPhone to more people. This is a great option for customers who want a much larger screen in a light and durable aluminum design with big enhancements to all cameras, excellent performance, essential safety capabilities, and 5G. Whether a customer is upgrading to a new iPhone or trying iPhone for the first time, iPhone 14 Plus is a huge upgrade and an unbeatable choice.”

Apple’s new iPhone 14 Plus model is available in midnight, blue, starlight, purple, and (PRODUCT)RED and has the A15 Bionic chip with a 5-core GPU and a Ceramic Shield front cover for better durability. Apple has enhanced the camera system on this year’s model with Photonic Engine, which applies Deep Fusion earlier in the imaging process, delivering brighter, more true-to-life colors and beautifully detailed textures in mid- to lower-light scenes. Other new features include Crash Detection and Emergency SOS via satellite: the former automatically dials emergency services when a user is unconscious or unable to reach their iPhone, whilst the latter allows iPhone to connect directly to a satellite, enabling messaging with emergency services when a user is outside of cellular or Wi-Fi coverage.
