Apple is reportedly running down stocks of its 21.5-inch iMac ahead of a new generation of the iMac.
The company has reportedly run out of iMac models at many of its Apple Retail Stores, and online, the companyās eCommerce store has seen delivery dates pushed back by several weeks.
The base model, for example, now has a seven business day shipment estimate, and other models are delayed by around five days, suggesting stocks are running low.
Whatās perhaps more interesting is that some of Appleās higher-end configurations, such as a 1TB Fusion Drive iMac, are now totally out of stock, and unlikely to return in their current form.
Earlier in the year, Apple stopped selling its base model in 512GB and 1TB SSD storage options, which could be because of a global chip shortage faced by major tech brands.
However, itās more likely because of the fact the company is planning to relaunch its all-in-one desktop computer later this month at Appleās upcoming Special Event, taking place on April 20.
